MARINE LIFE

The marine life of Cyprus is rich and diverse, thanks to the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean that surround the island. Among the most well-known species are the loggerhead turtles, which nest on its shores, and numerous fish such as swordfish, bream, and grouper. Cyprus is also famous for its dolphins, often spotted in the coastal waters, as well as a variety of marine invertebrates, including octopuses, morays, and sea urchins.
